The UAE is set to play its part in making history tomorrow as the world unites to put an end to the suffering of billions of people worldwide.
Tens of thousands of people from schools, universities, off-ices and community groups will get to their feet during events being held across the country until Sunday.
The global day of action is part of the 7DAYS-backed Stand Up and Take Action campaign, which is focused on putting an end to poverty and encouraging world leaders to stick to their pledges to cancel world debt and promote fair trade.
Hundreds of students at the American University of Dubai have come forward to take part and are inviting people to join them in a show of solidarity at 1pm on Sunday.
Stand Up and Take Action was launched in 2005 and each year focuses on one of the United Nation’s eight Millenn-ium Development Goals to improve quality of life for people across the world.
The patron of the campaign is Princess Haya bint Al Hussein, the wife of Dubai Ruler HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
All you have to do is register your event at www.standup.ae.
