Senior Judge of the Supreme Court Judge, Justice Javed Iqbal hinted that due to the failure of the institutions, the courts have no other option except to take Suo Moto actions and no one should regard Suo Moto action as excessive interruption by the court.
Robbers have kidnapped a five-year-old British boy demanding a ransom of 100,000 pounds. RPO Rawalpindi claimed that the kidnappers would be traced in next forty eight hours. The British High Commission has requested the Pakistani authorities to fully cooperate in order to ensure the safe release of the boy.
US Centcom commander Gen David H Petraeus called on COAS General Ashfaq Kayani.

Rawalpindi, Pakistan News: A Corps Commander Conference is underway under the chair of Chief of Army Staff Ashfaq Parvez Kayani in Rawalpindi today. According to sources, the ongoing military offensive in South Waziristan and professional capabilities of the army is being discussed in the meeting being held at General headquarters. Pakistan Army’s strategy, defence of the borders and sovereignty would be taken up during the meeting.
Lahore, Pakistan News: Lahore High Court has directed to provide complete security to Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi , an accused of Mumbai attacks and rejected his petition seeking transfer of case to Lahore today. The accused had filed a petition for transfer of case to Lahore from anti-terror court in Rawalpindi on account of threats to life of his lawyer from Indian agents. The court in its verdict stated that the federal government has given assurance about Lakhvi’s security, however, government would provide more security to him and his lawyer Khawaja Sultan if he request for that.
