Pakistan News: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said on Thursday the whole nation was running after plots. Supreme Court dismissed the petition filed for stay order against allotment of plots to civil bureaucrats promoted to grade 22.
The affected bureaucrats have filed a petition against out of merit promotions in grade 21 and 22 of civil bureaucracy in SC. The case was heard by three-member bench headed by CJP Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry. The hearing was adjourned till January 4, 2010 as Federal Attorney Abdul Hafeez Pirzada requested time to prepare for the case. The plaintiff counsel Dr. Aslam Khaki requested the court to halt the allotment of plots to the promoted officers, however, CJP remarked that the matter should be left apart.
