LAHORE, Pakistan: CNG Stations on Strike Against Price Hike, All Pakistan CNG Association closed over 700 CNG stations based in Lahore, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Okara and Sahiwal on Thursday, saying if the government does not cave in to their demand, they would have to go to the court.
The president of All Pakistan CNG Association Ghayas Pracha said the CNG consumers along with the owners of the pumping stations will have to face severe hardships owing to the closure of the CNG stations, adding the inflation-plagued consumers would further be tamped down under additional financial juggernaut.
Meantime, CNG Dealers Association Senior Vice Chairman Mehar Arshad Mehmood announced disassociation with the strike and said Federal Petroleum Minister called them on Friday evening for the negotiations.
He said the 150 CNG pumping stations affiliated with his organization will remain open.
