QUETTA: As many as eight Afghan nationals accused of having involvement in human smuggling have been arrested including one of their agent here in Quetta on Tuesday, Geo news reported.
The arrests were made during a raid conducted by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials on a local hotel here.
According to FIA sources, the Director Shahab Azeem received reports that several Afghan citizens were being smuggled to Indonesia through Quetta on Pakistani passports. Subsequently, he raided on a local hotel located on Abdul Sattar Road in Quetta, nabbing as many as eight Afghan nations including their agent.
The agent was later identified as Ahmedi meanwhile, FIA officials also claimed to have seized many Pakistani passports and Rs.5000 Pakistani currency from their possession, sources concluded.
